Whats happening out there in Celebration

of National Stamping Month I thought I'd list links to everything I could find being offered out there. So besides my own CELEBRATION...which you will find more about on Friday, here is what I've found:

1. Free Milk Paint tutorial from Pat Stamps and the Technique Junkie Newsletter! Pat will also be going Live with her CTMH Art Gallery at the end of September. Keep looking at her website for the exciting addition.

2. Check out the NSM Celebration going on at Inky Doodle and get involved. Don't forget to leave your comment and let Korin know I sent you there!

3. Huge Awesome sale on Cricut Cartridges going on at Inky Smiles. Check It Out!

4. Close To My Heart of course has its own celebration going on. From a daily contest to daily mini tutorials...check the website out daily. Here is the press release that was released announcing the event.

5. The Rubber Stamper is having a Survey Give Away. Check that out!

Well that is all I could find so far. Some talk on two peas and a bit of controversy on Split Coast but other than that...I'll have to keep searching.

Just had to share this "SPECIAL" art project that I found.

Day 4 and I'm ahead of the game!

Four days down and I should have at least 16 pages done. I'm at 18 so my work load tomorrow is less or I could push hard and keep myself ahead of the game.

Just wanted to share the third page in this 4 page series of my daughter in 1997. It is kind of a quarterly progression through the year.

Even today, 10.5 years later and after a incredibly challenging Kidoodle day I have to say she is simply amazing to me. I am still in such awe of my children...ok so today I was nearly awed out, but doing this layout of these pictures of her were healing for me. By the grace of GOD I will figure out how to overcome these challenges I am faced with these days by my children. NEVER and I mean NEVER will I have a 6 year spread between my kids. ok.ok.ok so there could never be an again so that was a ridiculous statement.

In the first picture of this layout I'm holding Batya, yah that is me a thinner, darker haired version of me. Geez and look at those '80's glasses. Someone should have told me it was 1997 and the '80's were over! 31 years old looks good on me. If I start having (-) birthdays do I start to look younger? ok, ok I digress, these photo's were taken at a dinner party at a local (my favorite) Indian Food restaurant in Northampton, MA. It is called the India House and I LOVED to eat there. It was the woman in the bottom picture's, birthday.

I remember dressing Batya for the party and thinking how nicely we'd match without matching. Simply amazing what we remember by looking at older photo's. It was a hard evening for me but you really can't tell that by the photo, it has to be holding my beautiful precious daughter that lifted my spirits. I used the Dream clear stickers because my daughter was a dream for so many years for me. I dreamed of having a child and doing whatever I needed to to realize that dream. I never faltered in believing in her as eventually being apart of my life.

PERSONAL GOAL: Re-discover that ability to have dreams for myself.

ok ~ well I'll stop with the diatribe and just show you the page.

Go Check out Inky Doodle's...

Celebration of National Stamping Month!

Join in on all the fun this month. Post a comment on her blog and let her know that Nina sent you! Korin is an awesome artist, I can't wait to see the artwork she ends up posting.

Check out Inky Doodle Here!

Getting Ready to Display School Artwork

This simple clip-on device makes it a cinch to hang your child's school drawings and periodically replace them with her latest works.

CRAFT MATERIALS:Yardstick, Binder clip, String

1. First, attach a binder clip to the top of a wooden yardstick about 2 inches in from each end. Then tie the ends of a 4- to 5-foot piece of string to the clips' metal rings to serve as a hanger.
2. Now use additional pairs of binder clips joined with string to attach pieces of artwork to the lower edge of the yardstick and to one another, as shown.

Throw a Bus Stop BUFFET!!!

Bring some doughnuts, bagels, hot chocolate, juice and milk for the young students and their parents to enjoy as they wait for the bus. This is the perfect way for your children to get to know their classmates, and a great opportunity for you to meet their parents. This photo moment can be scrapbooked! Making memories one day at a time.

Labor Day Weekend PRODUCTION

Whew I finished a total of 17 pages this weekend. . .Man, I can see this is gonna be quite the challenge...but I"m getting so much done. Clearing a lot outta my FULL scrap space.

Today I only did two pages but took the time to take my kids to the park with the dog and have a picnic lunch. It was a nice afternoon.

The two pages I got done today were very simple. I used some awesome photo's of my daughter, Batya from when she was 1.5 years old. She is now 11.5. On these pages I used a kit by ColorBok. I have to admit, I rarely us kits, paper or stamp sets from other companies but saw this kit and thought of these photo's. I used some sticker quotes and some spring rub-ons for accents.

Keep watching for a special National Stamping Month Give Away! I'll be announcing it later this week!

Hermit Crab Funeral

Today was our Hermit Crab Funeral. "Hermie" rests in our front yard in the flowerbed. Complete with a grave stone that simply says Hermie.

I've been doing a bit of reading up on the topic and have learned quite a bit about these animals. Turns out they are really quite docile and will only pinch when they feel threatened. Not really sure what made it feel threatened but obviously he did.

In my search for information online I found this pic. My first thought was watch out lady or you are gonna have a piercing you never thought you'd have.

So to Hermie we said goodbye...next week I'll go pick up another beasty! This one will be scoop material only. NO HANDS ON!
At the funeral I said I was sorry and Quinn said "Mommy's sorry"

The Quest Continues

Here are some 9x9 pages I did to go with the 12x12 pages of this wonderful first day on Hawaii. I of course forced myself to do some hand written journaling.

Page 4 I actually "lifted" from a fellow CTMH Consultant Erica Coffrey. I just loved her tag pocket.

Page 5 I used the Rustic E sized Alphabet from CTMH and kissed it with a "retired" texture set to get the texture on the alphabet.

On page 6 I also tackled a challenge of piecing together (4) 4x6 photo's of our view from our hotel room. I actually created a panoramic photo and scrapbooked it on a 9x9 page. It actually worked out well.

Click Here to view the detail on the panoramic layout.

Now to go cut the page protectors for my interactive page elements.
