Can You Say PURGE

I am in the middle of a much needed purging of my craft room. I can't finish installing new organization elements to the room without first purging it all out into the living room first. You can't even walk into it without having to leap over piles.

So each day I've been spending an hour or so sorting, moving stuff out, sorting etc. It is a long and tedious process. Soon I will get close to the
walls and get my husband to install the last few shelving units and my new lighting system. I can hardly wait. The paint job (it is literally a purple and pepto colored room YUCK) will come next year. Can't have it all RIGHT NOW, I'm told anyhow.

While I have been purging I've found a bunch of projects/kits etc. that I've started but never finished. tonight I found a 4 page project pack from CTMH's National Tour 3 years ago. I had elements stamped and all the pieces ready and just needed to follow the directions (that I luckily still had) ok well sorta followed but anyhow. I finished the following four pages. When I saw them together I instantly knew which photo's I wanted to use.

The photos are from a trip my family took to Massachusetts. We visited my (BFF) Best Forever Friend Julie and her son Eric. It was the first time we had seen them since moving away in 1999. Photos were taken when I was 4 mths pregnant with my son in March 2002. During this trip Batya got a chance to see her God Sister and oldest friend Kelsey who is nearly a year and a half older than Batya. We got a chance to take the girls to the Butterfly Conservatory. In page four I used a circular Window Charm to highlight the butterfly's on my daughter. It was an incredible place.

My Try at Paper Candy

Oh how fun are these. I actually made 10 packages of this Halloween set of Paper Candy. Some for a swap and some to sell at my next craft fair. These are too fun to stop at just this one. Next I'm going to do some in a Christmas theme.

I used the following products: Cricut - Doodle Charms cartridge to do the treat bag and the spider. CTMH's Enchanted paper pack and black card stock. Water brush with CTMH's Smokey Plum, Autumn Terracotta, White Daisy and Garden Green ink, Buttons, Eyelets and the stamp sets were also CTMH sets (Little Spooks & Hallow-Scream)

Two More Daisy D pages

These I made for Quinn's First Day of Kindergarten.

Again for the Daisy D contest and again not my "usual" style. Paper & Stickers are Daisy D School Days pack. I also used my Cricut for the words Quinn & School. I also used my CTMH Liquid Glass.

I'm not sure that I'm really all that happy with these pages...a bit too far outta my box I guess.

Daisy D's Monthly Contest Submissions

This month Daisy D is having a Back To School Page contest. These pages are some that I submitted. Check out the details of the contest by CLICKING HERE.

Nothing totally Awesome...but I have to admit it is definitely different than I usually do. Getting outta my box.

I used some Bigger Brads and Liquid Glass by CTMH and the Daisy D School Days Paper and Sticker Page Kit.

Well I only got 2 pages done toward my 25 that I'm behind. So as of tomorrow I'll be at 27 behind! Hey this is going backwards! As my son would say..."Whats with that, DUDE".

Scrap - A - Mania 500 and a bit of catch up

It is official ~ I'm behind by 17 pages.

Whew that is a lot...but I won't let it get me down. I have a baby shower today and then a full Monday but Tuesday is my day to get caught up...lets see by Tuesday I will need to do 25 pages to be caught up. YIKES. ok ok who twisted my arm to do this personal challenge? oh yah, it is my own darn fault! What was I thinking?

*** Two Area's of Catch Up***

1.) I have sent out a NSD Virtual Coupon to all those who were confirmed subscribers prior to 9/8/07. If you did not receive that coupon via email and feel you should have please contact me at nperrin3@yahoo.com. I have been having a bit of feed problems and want to make sure everyone was included.

2.) My husband is home from his mini trip and will be picking up the NEW and "NO TOUCH" improved version of the Hermit Crab for my son. Thanks to all of you who lent me your much needed support while I recovered from the PTCS (post traumatic crab syndrome). The nightmares have subsided and I feel as though I have over come the trauma and moved on to the humor of the ordeal. A huge thanks to Deborah, Julie and April. In that order (horror, grief & humor) Thanks Ladies! ok not that Deborah represents horror and Julie grief...but that you each helped in those areas, respectively. I'll shut up now.
