Summer Vacation

Batya and Quinn went to my folks house in Arizona for the summer. Yah, they were there for 6 (SIX) weeks in total. It was a hard separation but we managed to survive the time. Here are the first two pages digitally scrapped of their trip. I'd do more but I'm still waiting for my busy Mom to find the time to email them to me. She is busy with her business. You should check out her website. They sell Pasture raised, hormone free meat. We live on it because I have an allergy to the hormones they use in meats today. Their farm is A bar H Farm and you can click here to go to their website.

They also raise chickens for the eggs and Quinn was in charge of feeding and collecting eggs all summer. It was a great opportunity for the kids to get in some good time with their Grandparents and being back on the farm.
Here are the first two pages:

Two Stepping Stamping Tutorial

This tutorial is for a technique called Two Stepping. For this technique you will need a specific stamp set, this would be a stamp that has the outline and a solid (2 pieces) that make up the final complete image. The first is the Solid stamp. It would be a solid stamp that would be the inside fill in to the outline. The second stamp would be the actual outline stamp.

Here is an example:

This first orange sq. is the outline stamp

This second orange sq. is the solid stamp

Supplies Needed:

  1. A Two Step Stamp
  2. Ink Pad
  3. Paper
  4. Scrap Paper

Click Here to view the Slide Show Tutorial

Step One
Load your "SOLID" stamp with ink and stamp it onto your scrap paper.

Step Two
You will only be stamping the second generation (2nd layer of ink on the stamp) onto your working cardstock. This gives you a lighter solid image

Step Three
Load your "OUTLINE" stamp with the same colored ink. Looking through the acrylix block and stamp line up your Outline image with the solid image and stamp.

Now you can embellish the image in any way you see fit. On this card I used liquid glass to fill in a few of the center leaves to look like the yellow centers on poinsettia's.

My Celebrity Look Alikes

Oh My Husband is just gonna die with this. He has a big issue with Oprah, I'm not sure what it is but he does not like the Oprah hype. However, I think she is awesome. Strong courageous woman who made it to her life goals, well at least some of them. Ok ok so I used a younger me photo but it is the best face photo I had and who cares about hair anyhow.

I'm Fun Fibers ~ How About You?

What scrapbooking item are you?

You are Fibers!Fun and crazy at times. You are a warm fuzzy kind of person. You run around getting things done but still find time for fun! You have so many diverse interests that it is often hard to pin you down to any one thing. People love your friendly attitude and carefree ways. You often brighten other people's days. But Fibers Beware - Sometimes people don't take you seriously because of your happy-go-lucky ways. Sometimes you find yourself feeling left out from decision making that could directly affect you. Even though you like to be happy and cheerful, make sure others know that you can also be serious and in tune with reality.
