Batya and Quinn went to my folks house in Arizona for the summer. Yah, they were there for 6 (SIX) weeks in total. It was a hard separation but we managed to survive the time. Here are the first two pages digitally scrapped of their trip. I'd do more but I'm still waiting for my busy Mom to find the time to email them to me. She is busy with her business. You should check out her website. They sell Pasture raised, hormone free meat. We live on it because I have an allergy to the hormones they use in meats today. Their farm is A bar H Farm and you can click here to go to their website.

A Star is Born ~> Batya earns her Yellow Belt
I have to say this is how I envisioned these pages looking. I finally found some paper I liked. It was actually FREE from Two Peas in a Bucket. I scrapped the original layout I did with these photos and this is what I did.Whew --- Headway is being made on the digital front!

Right Layout to my earlier Left
Here is the companion page to the earlier. These layouts are from Imagine (In the Grove).Batya was our flower girl at our wedding last year and Quinn was our ring bearer. They were both such angels and such a highlight to the ceremony. This is our anniversary month and I still don't have any of the wedding photo's scrapbooked. Thought these would be some great pictures to play digital scrapbooker with.
I was right!

Ok, I'm getting the hang of this...Digital stuff
I think I've come a long way in a short time. Really getting the hang of this stuff. I used a layout from Imagine (CTMH book) and some of the digital stuff supplied by Scrapbook Flair.I got some great tips from a woman on one of the yahoo groups I am a member of. She was telling me about scanning in paper I like and then using it for digital pages. Wow...so all my Paper Candy I can scan and use them digitally.
Getting pretty excited here!

I'm trying it again...Digital Scrapbooking that is.

Here is another try at Digital Scrapbooking. I found this awesome FREE software you can download along with tons of Digital "Stuff" to use with it.
This page is of my daughter earning her yellow belt at Tang So Do martial arts. I'll be doing a second page to go along with this.
Check out this website: ScrapbookFlair
There are some issues I ran into like not being able to alter a embellishment image. I wanted to move the ribbon to the horizontal instead of being on the vertical.

Kitchen Transformation
This summer our kids are off visiting their Grandparents in Arizona. With them gone I've taken advantage of the peace and quiet and gotten started on some much needed household transformation projects. The first was painting the once purple (yes, someone painted their kitchen PURPLE and not an eggplant purple either) don't get me wrong, I love purple but this was just an owie, ya boo boo big time. So what was once bright purple under the chair rail is now pine green to match all my kitchen decor. I also replaced the French Door curtains for something a bit more neutral, a light cream to go with the mocha color above the chair rail and in the livingroom. So once again I tried my hand at digital scrapbooking and put together a then/now page showing the transformation our kitchen has undertaken. Now that I've found a good place to get the digital pages printed (Digital Scrapbooks to Share) I'm gonna keep trying with it. Not sure of this layout though. I'm having a hard time with what I have for digital media. Geez this process could get expensive too.

Granna Snuggles

Today I've been cleaning my craft space...and I found some old photo's. I decided to once again try a digital page using one of the more precious photo's I found. Again the tags are some I found for free on the Two Peas website. Let me know what you think...and if you know of anywhere I can get these printed at the 12x12 size please let me know as I'd like to get these into actual albums.

Digital Scrapbooking
Ok, well here is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking. I found that you could get a 30 day trial of Photo Shop. Now, please note that I haven't used Photo Shop since the late '80's so I was figuring that it would literally take me forever to figure it out.
My webfriend Adeline Brill turned me onto some FREE Digital Scrapbooking "TAG's" at the Two Peas website. So using one of those I set out to do a basic layout. Including learning curve it only took me 20 min to create this page. However, it took me another 20 min to figure out how to save it...and still be able to attache it to emails etc.
The young lady is my daughter Batya. It was taken last year when she was 10 years old.
